  • The division game is divided into one or more divisions, depending on the number of active players. At the moment there is one division.
    • Division 1 plays Thursdays at 1900-2030.
  • The groups are set up at 1900 precisely, and everybody has to register before that time.
  • The ones who arrives too late plays in a group of their own if there are enough courts available.
  • Registering is done by marking yourself present on the list in the squash hall.
  • See who else has arrived... Have they remembered to mark themselves? If not, do it for them.
  • If you get injured over a long time, you can notify us, then you will be taken off the list, and put back where you were when you are back.
  • New players
    • shows up in the lowest division, unless something else has been agreed.
    • write their names and email addresses at the bottom of the list.
    • are put at the bottom of the division.
    • can be seeded up after having played the first time, if the players skill level warrants it.
  • Old players that are returning after having been taken out of the list
    • If it is less than half a year since the player was taken out of the list, the player is entered into the list where the player was taken out of the list.
    • If it is over a half year since the player was taken out of the list, the player is put in the list approximately where the player belongs.
  • It is divided into groups of 3, 4 or 5. See the section about group setups for how to divide the players into groups.
    • When there are 3 in the group, everybody plays against everybody.
      • Match 1: 1 vs 3
      • Match 2: 2 vs 1 or 3 => player 1 decides.
      • Match 3: 2 vs 3 or 1.
    • When there are 4 in the group, the matches are played like this:
      • Match 1: 1 vs. 4
      • Match 2: 2 vs. 3
      • Match 3: winner 1-4 vs. winner 2-3, for 1st and 2nd place.

  • It is played best of 3 games. (If there are few players present, best of 5 games can be played).
  • If there are more groups than available courts, the groups that does not have a court will be spread across the other courts, with one match in one court, the second match in another court and so on.
  • How to figure out the ranking when everybody plays everybody.
    • 3 games
      • One match is worth 3 points.
If a player wins 2-0 in sets, the winner gets 3 points and the looser 0 points.
If a player wins 2-1 in sets, the winner gets 2 points and the looser gets 1 point.
    • 5 games
      • One match is worth 5 points.
If a player wins 3-0 in sets, the winner gets 5 points and the looser gets 0 points.
If a player wins 3-1 in sets, the winner gets 4 points and the looser gets 1 point.
If a player wins 3-2 in sets, the winner gets 3 points and the looser gets 2 point.
    • When all or some have the same points
      1. Result between players in question
      2. Game score difference
      3. No change, internal ranking is kept as it was before the division started to play.
  • The new ranking list will be made available at the latest by the following Monday.

Ranking rules:

  • Each player that were not present looses a place, except:
    • Players below the lowest ranked player present keeps their place.
    • Players above the highest ranked player present keeps their place, except the player right above the highest ranked player present, that player looses a place.
    • Players gone for more than 10 times in a row is removed from the list.
  • First the players are ranked within the group, the winner of the group gets the ranking of the highest ranked player in that group, number two to the second highest, and so on. After that the following happens:
    • The group winner changes place with the looser of the group above.
    • The winner of group 1 in division 1 moves up up to 5 places if that is possible.
    • The looser of a group changes place with the winner of the group below.
    • The looser of the last group in the lowest division keeps her/his place.
    • The winner of the top group in a lower division than 1 will get to play in the division above next time.

Group setup:

It shall be 4 in the groups as far as possible, then 3 or 5 in the last groups depending on how many players are left.

In the table below group setups are shown based on the number of players participating. The rows marked with yellow background colour shows alternative setups for that number of players. The preferred setup is to use the alternative with groups of 3, but if the number of courts available leads to that one gets too many groups compared to courts the alternative with a group of 5 shall be used.
